OKLAHOMA CITY BLUE ANNOUNCES 2023-24 SEASON SCHEDULE

By Oklahoma City Blue Staff /September 5, 2023

OKLAHOMA CITY, Sept. 5, 2023 – The Oklahoma City Blue announced its 2023-24 season schedule today and will open the season on the road on Friday, Nov. 10 against the Texas Legends. The slate features four Blue Field Trip Day games, including a special Jan. 24 matchup against the Mexico City Capitanes at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla.

The Blue home opener on Monday, Nov. 13 versus the Memphis Hustle tips off at Paycom Center, serving as the team’s home arena for the third consecutive year.

The first 14 games on the Blue schedule are part of the Showcase Cup, a competition featuring all 31 teams that will culminate at the NBA G League Winter Showcase with the Showcase Cup Championship Game.

The teams with the best winning-percentage in each regional pod, as well as the four teams with the next best win-percentage across the league, will go on to play for the Showcase Cup in a single-elimination tournament at the NBA G League Winter Showcase from Dec. 19-22. The remaining G League teams who do not qualify to compete for the Showcase Cup Championship will each play an additional two games at the Winter Showcase outside of the tournament format.

Following the Showcase Cup, team records will reset when they begin the 34-game regular season schedule. The Blue opens the regular season on Wednesday, Dec. 27 versus the Maine Celtics at Paycom Center. League Playoff participation will solely be based on the records from the regular season, with the top six teams in each conference with the best winning percentage earning a spot in the NBA G League Playoffs.

The Blue will host its annual Field Trip Day games at Paycom Center on Nov. 15 vs. the Memphis Hustle, Feb. 28 vs. the Santa Cruz Warriors and March 5 vs. the Sioux Falls SkyForce.
