OKLAHOMA CITY FALLS TO SOUTH BAY

OKLAHOMA CITY, Nov. 23, 2022 – The Oklahoma City Blue (3-4) lost to the South Bay Lakers (5-3), 133-115, on Wednesday afternoon at Paycom Center. Thunder assignment player Jaylin Williams posted a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds, as well as dishing out eight assists. Two-way player Lindy Waters lll added 11 points, four assists and four rebounds.
“We are upset with the loss, but the mistakes are things we know that we can clean up.” Head Coach Kameron Woods said. “We have a hungry group of guys in there who don’t like losing.”
After a back-and-forth first quarter ending in a 32-30 South Bay lead, the Blue was outscored 39-28 in the second quarter and trailed the Lakers 71-58 at the half. South Bay added to its lead, outscoring the Blue 35-29 in the third quarter. Despite outscoring South Bay in the final period, the Blue could not overcome the deficit.
Blue guard Jahmi’us Ramsey led the team in scoring with 26 points on 12-of-20 shooting from the field. Jaden Shackelford (20), Adam Mokoka (15), and D.J. Wilson (12) all scored in double-figures to join Ramsey, Waters lll and Williams.
South Bay was led by Scottie Pippen Jr., who scored a game high 36 points on 12-of-25 shooting from the field.
The Blue will host the Salt Lake City Stars on Friday, Nov. 25 at noon CT to complete the seven-game homestand.
