Oklahoma City Blue Acquires Scotty Hopson

OKLAHOMA CITY, Feb. 21, 2020 – The Oklahoma City Blue has acquired guard Scotty Hopson, the team announced today.


Hopson (6-7, 204) most recently played for the New Zealand Breakers of the NBL, appearing in 22 games (all starts) and averaging 19.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.14 steals in 30.9 minutes per game.


The Tennessee product spent the 2018-19 season with the Blue and appeared in 35 games (30 starts), and averaged 16.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 28.1 minutes per game.


In a related move, Oklahoma City has waived forward Courtney Alexander II. Alexander II appeared in four games for the Blue this season.
