Gaddy and Hall Named to AmeriCup Qualifying Team

OKLAHOMA CITY, Feb. 12, 2020 – Oklahoma City Blue guards Abdul Gaddy and Devon Hall were named to the roster for the February 2020 USA AmeriCup Qualifying Team, USA Basketball announced today.

 

Oklahoma City is one of only three G League teams with multiple players named to the roster.

 

In 35 games (all starts), Gaddy is averaging 12.5 points, a league-leading 9.0 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 34.3 minutes per game, while shooting 45.5 percent from the three-point line. The Washington product has led the Blue in assists in 31 games this season and on Jan. 23 vs. the Texas Legends set a career high, and G League season high, with 20 assists.

 

Hall has appeared in 24 games (all starts) this season and is averaging 15.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 31.4 minutes per game. Hall has six 20-plus point games and a career-high three double-doubles so far this season.

 

The 12-man roster will play a pair of games in the February FIBA AmeriCup Qualifying window, including a game versus Puerto Rico in San Juan on Feb. 20 (6 p.m. CST) and a home game on Sunday, Feb. 23 (2 p.m. CST) versus Puerto Rico at the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington, D.C.

 

The 2020-21 FIBA AmeriCup qualifiers feature 16 teams from the Americas zone divided into four groups of four teams. The top three finishing teams in each group will earn a qualifying berth in the FIBA AmeriCup 2021.
