OKLAHOMA CITY, Feb. 14, 2017 – Oklahoma City Blue forward Reggie Williams was named to the 2017 Western Conference NBA Development League All-Star team, it was announced today by the NBA Development League.
This marks the second All-Star selection for Williams, who was selected to the East team in the 2009-10 season as a member of the Sioux Falls Skyforce. This season, he is averaging 18.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
Williams is in his second stint with the Blue this season. He was called up by the New Orleans Pelicans earlier in the year, where he appeared in five games, averaging 5.0 points and 1.2 rebounds in 12.6 minutes.
Williams will serve as a replacement player for Pierre Jackson of the Texas Legends. D-League All-Stars were selected by votes from the league’s 22 head coaches and all players. Players were eligible for selection if they competed in at least half of their team’s games through January 29.
He represents the tenth All-Star selection in franchise history and second this season, joining center Dakari Johnson in New Orleans. This is the third time in franchise history to have two all-stars in one season.
The NBA Development League All-Star Game, presented by Kumho Tire, will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on February 18 at 1:30 p.m. CT and will be televised on NBA TV.
