OKLAHOMA CITY, August 24, 2017 – The Oklahoma City Blue announced its 2017-18 regular-season schedule today, beginning with the team’s season opener on Friday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. in the Cox Convention Center versus the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, a rematch of the 2017 Western Conference Finals.
All 50 Blue games will be streamed live on the NBA G League’s Facebook page (facebook.com/nbagleague) with a full broadcast schedule to be announced on a later date.
Oklahoma City’s family-friendly schedule features 24 home games, including 15 set to be played on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The Blue will host 22 home games at the Cox Convention Center along with hosting two Field Trip Day games. On February 28, the Blue will face the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 11 a.m. in the INTRUST Bank Center in Wichita, Kansas, while on March 7, the team will face the Lakeland Magic at 11 a.m. in Chesapeake Energy Arena.
The schedule includes 24 road contests and a pair of neutral-site games to be played at the annual NBA G League Showcase in January. The Blue is slated to face 22 teams throughout the season, including 15 different opponents at home.
The Blue will play conference opponents three or four times, two home and two away, including games at the Showcase. The schedule also features 10 games against Eastern Conference opponents.
Due to expansion in the NBA G League, conferences and divisions have been realigned for the 2017-18 season. Oklahoma City will compete in the Western Conference, but has moved to the Midwest Division with the Skyforce, Iowa Wolves and Memphis Hustle.
