FRISCO, Texas, Nov. 18, 2017 – The Oklahoma City Blue (2-4) fell to the Texas Legends (3-2), 129-123, on the second night of a back-to-back.
Oklahoma City had a chance to tie at 119 apiece with just over a minute remaining in the fourth, but Daniel Hamilton was unable to connect from beyond the arc before Texas followed up with back-to-back three-pointers to finish on top. Rashawn Thomas scored 10 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter and finished the game leading OKC from the bench for the second consecutive night, while adding five rebounds, four assists and one block.
The Blue came out hot, going 7-0 to start the game, but the Legends quickly closed the gap to just two points by the end of the first. Texas then took the lead in the second, making it 66-60 at the half. Down by as many as 10 points, Oklahoma City battled back to within two points in the third, but were unable to gain a lead.
OKC shot a season-best 54.1 percent from the field as two-way player Daniel Hamilton notched his third career triple-double of 18 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists and fellow two-way player PJ Dozier recorded 17 points, four rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Chris Wright produced a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds and Bryce Alford tacked on another 20 points while draining five three-pointers.
The Legends were led by Justin Dentmon who registered 28 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
The Blue will close the road trip with a matchup against the Grand Rapids Drive on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m. at DeltaPlex Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich.
