OKLAHOMA CITY, Dec. 2, 2017 – The Oklahoma City Blue (6-6) used a strong second half to defeat the Greensboro Swarm (3-9), 110-87 on Saturday night.
Oklahoma City held a slim 51-50 advantage at halftime, but came out shooting in the second half, tallying seven three-pointers in the third to extend the lead to eight points.
Two-way player Daniel Hamilton contributed eight points in the third, finishing with 19 points, 11 boards, and six assists for his league-leading seventh double-double of the season.
The Blue opened the fourth quarter on a 7-0 run and eventually extended its lead to as many as 25 points. Bryce Alford scored seven points in the fourth quarter, ending with a team-high 21 points on the night.
“I thought our discipline, possession by possession, was really strong,” said Head Coach Mark Daigneault. “It took a little while in the game to get to that, but once we did we were able to get stops and make some shots.”
The Blue held the Swarm to 37 points in the second half, on 36 percent shooting. Terry Henderson led Greensboro with 19 points and five rebounds.
The Blue will finish off its six-game homestand on Dec. 7 versus the Memphis Hustle at the Cox Convention Center at 7 p.m.
