PRESCOTT VALLEY, ARIZ., Dec. 22, 2017 – The Oklahoma City Blue (10-10) used a strong second half to complete the comeback and defeat the Northern Arizona Suns (7-12), 120-114, on Friday night.
Oklahoma City trailed by as many as 19 in the game, and was down by six points in the fourth quarter. Bryce Alford hit a pair of three pointers with eight minutes left to give Oklahoma City a 100-94 lead it would not relinquish.
Alford produced 24 points, six rebounds and three assists, going 7-of-14 from beyond the arc in the game.
The Suns shot 67 percent in the first quarter and led 39-24 at the end of the frame, behind 14 first-quarter points from Shaquille Harrison. OKC responded in the second quarter, scoring 34 points, and only trailed 62-58 heading into the locker room.
Rashawn Thomas led the Blue with 15 points in the first half and finished with 18 points and five assists in the game. Daniel Hamilton notched his league-leading sixth triple-double of the season with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists.
Alec Peters led the way for Northern Arizona with a double-double of 31 points and 11 rebounds.
Oklahoma City will visit Salt Lake City to face off against the Stars on Dec. 29, at 8 p.m. at the Lifetime Activities Center-Bruin Arena.
